Huayi posts soaring net profits in 2013

Shenzhen-listed Huayi Brothers Media Corporation saw its net profits surge 172.74 percent year-on-year to 667 million yuan ($108.82 million) in 2013, the company said Wednesday.

The Beijing-based film producer said in the disclosure that eight of its films had hit movie theaters last year, earning about 3 billion yuan in box office.
