Chinese shares staged a moderate decline on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04 percent, or 0.85 points, to finish at 2,205.77.
The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.45 percent, or 38.66 points, to finish at 8,472.02.
