Court established in FTZ

A new court was established Tuesday in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). which will focus on relevant cases concerning the FTZ, including investment business, finance, intellectual property and real estate, according to Sheng Yongqiang, vice president of the Shanghai Higher People's Court.

As the FTZ is still at an experimental stage, its legal system construction is still on the way to being improved and completed. With the number of enterprises increasing, and foreign investment and trade volume soaring, commercial disputes are inevitable, which will require stronger judicial safeguard from a professional and international court.
