Chinese shares ended lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.05 percent, or 45.84 points, to finish at 2,185.56.
The Shenzhen Component Index slumped 1.91 percent, or 165.22 points, to finish at 8,493.78.
