China's stocks open higher, Everbright Securities down

Chinese stocks opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,075.93 points, up 0.43 percent.

The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.44 percent to open at 8,281.18 points.

Everbright Securities, under fire over a trading error that has prompted a swift rise in Shanghai stock market last Friday and investigation by authorities, fell 1.8 percent at the opening after its trading resumed Friday.

The company's director and president Xu Haoming was replaced by a temporary president Yuan Changqing, it said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange Thursday. Trading of its shares was suspended Thursday afternoon.
