Housing tax to expand

The State Administration of Taxation is considering expanding the current housing property tax pilot scheme, the Xinhua News Agency reported Tuesday.

The housing property tax pilot scheme started in 2011 in Chongqing and Shanghai municipalities.

Earlier media reports said that the scheme would be expanded to more cities that are experiencing soaring housing prices.
