China Mobile users hit 735m

China Mobile, the country's largest mobile carrier by user base, said Thursday that its total mobile subscribers increased in May to 735 million, including 129.4 million 3G subscribers, according to a filing posted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

China, the world's largest mobile phone market by subscribers, posted a 0.9 percent month-on-month increase in the number of mobile subscribers to 1.17 billion in May, according to data from the country's three telecommunications operators, which also include China Unicom and China Telecom.
