China's central and local governments are expected to offer subsidies to airports running at a loss within the year to support the development of regional airports, Wang Kunzhi, an official with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), told a forum Thursday.
A total of 134 regional airports in China lost money last year, with a total loss of 2.9 billion yuan ($471.40 million), according to CAAC data.
