Shanghai stock indices close higher Wednesday

China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,397.18 points on Wednesday, up 14.26 points, or 0.6 percent.

A Share Index: 2,509.36 points, up 14.83 points, or 0.59 percent;

B Share Index: 274.53 points, up 3.79 points, or 1.40 percent;

Total Turnover: 97.2 billion yuan (15.5 billion U.S. dollars).
