The gross product value generated by China's marine industry exceeded 5 trillion yuan (802.6 billion U.S. dollars) in 2012, the State Oceanic Administration announced Thursday.
The administration said that the total marine output volume in 2020 is planned to double the figure of 2010, which was 3.84 trillion yuan.
