Taiwan's share prices closed higher Wednesday with the weighted index up 16.98 points at 7,738. 64, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
The local bourse opened at 7,726.40. Turnover totaled 83.35 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.864 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.
