China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,213.61 points on Tuesday, up 54.56 points, or 2.53 percent, from the previous close.

A Share Index: 2,318.10 points, up 57.26 points, or 2.53 percent;

B Share Index: 234.91 points, up 3.2 points, or 1.38 percent;

Total Turnover: 114.9 billion yuan (18.27 billion U.S. dollars).
