Chinese shares closed mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index off 0.01 percent, or 0.23 point, to end at 2,162.24.
The Shenzhen Component Index finished at 8,639.56, up 0.55 percent, or 46.93 points.
