Chinese stocks open slightly lower Tuesday

Chinese stocks opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,077.56, down 0.3 percent from the previous close.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 8,230.03, down 0.4 percent from the previous close.
