Residents' views on China economy

Following that top-level meeting, CCTV spoke with ordinary Chinese for their views on the domestic economy. Some pointed out, China's growth isn't just about the numbers - it's inextricably linked to the everyday lives of Chinese residents. Others are confident in China's development in 2013, and expect the government to do more to improve living standards. Take a listen.

Anhui resident said, "What we are concerned about are food prices, transport costs and salaries. Each and every aspect of our life is closely related to the whole economy."

Anhui resident said, "I believe the Chinese economy will grow more steadily next year. After the 18th CPC National Congress, the government would adopt effective measures to stimulate growth."
