Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.49 percent, or 10.21 points, to close at 2,079.27.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,391.9, up 35.23 points, or 0.42 percent.
