Chinese stocks closed lower Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.86 percent, or 18.31 points, to finish at 2,114.45.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,686.48, down 142.97 points, or 1.62 percent.
