Chinese stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumping 2.6 percent, or 52.15 points, to finish at 2,056.32.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,486.27, up 292.9 points, or 3.57 percent.
