Shanghai stock indices close lower on Sept. 26

China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,004.17 points on Wednesday, down 25.12 points, or 1.24 percent, from the previous close.

A Share Index: 2,098.74 points, down 26.28 points, or 1.24 percent;

B Share Index: 213.44 points, down 3.28 points, or 1.51 percent;

Total turnover: 38.42 billion yuan (6.06 billion U.S. dollars).
