An array of management guidelines for small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in East China's Zhejiang Province were discussed during a provincial meeting held around the end of November, meaning that Zhejiang is very likely to launch China's first small UAV regional law soon, Zhejiang news portal zjol.com.cn reported on Monday.

According to the report, all owners of small UAVs will have to register their information with relevant government departments.

The guidelines will also provide details of the areas where UAVs are not allowed to enter, it said.

China has about 600,000 UAVs currently, and the number may rise to 4 million by the end of 2020.
