Myanmar authorities are striving to promote Rih Lake, also known as Rih Dil, situated in northwestern part of Chin state as ASEAN Heritage Area in 2018, official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Sunday.[Special coverage]
Rih Lake, with a heart-shaped outline, is a natural lake lying at three km from the Myanmar-India border and it is situated at 2,966 feet above the sea level.
Meanwhile, hotel construction projects are underway by the joint-management of the Chin state government and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, aiming to promote the development of tourism industry in the state.
Also, the authorities are exerting efforts to upgrade transportation infrastructure as a part of expanding the areas of tourism in the region.
