China Monday called for an appropriate settlement to conflicts along a disputed border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang made the remarks at a routine press briefing. Clashes between border troops last Friday caused casualties on both sides.
"As a close neighbor, we expect the two countries to handle the incident appropriately and jointly maintain regional peace and stability," Geng added.
