A court has started the trial of lawyer Xie Yang accused of alleged subversion and disrupting court order in Hunan province on Monday.
Xie, a 45-year-old native of Hunan, appeared at the Changsha Intermediate People's Court for reportedly inciting subversion of state power and disrupting court order.
He was placed under investigation in July 2015, and arrested on Jan 8, 2016, according to prosecutors.
