Chinese and U.S. officials will meet in Beijing on Tuesday for a second high-level joint dialogue on cybercrime.
The dialogue will involve cybersecurity desktop maneuvers, a hot line and law enforcement exchange, the Ministry of Public Security said on Monday.
The first dialogue was held in Washington in December, following agreement between Chinese President Xi Jinping with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama during Xi's state visit to the U.S. in September.
At the first dialogue, the two sides reached agreement on cooperation guidelines, experience sharing and the establishment of a hot line.
Law enforcement authorities jointly resolved a child pornography case in February following the dialogue.
China is one of the biggest victims of cybercrime and must improve its capabilities through International cooperation, said Zhao Liang, an Internet technology expert.
With more cooperation with the United States and other countries, China can foster an Internet governance system that protects the interests of all and respects national sovereignty, said Prof. Shen Yang of Tsinghua University.
