Starting next term, policies governing transferring schools in Xicheng district will be tightened, the Beijing Times reported.
According to the educational authorities in Xicheng district, children from other districts can only transfer to schools in Xicheng if their families have both registered households and proof of residence there.
In addition, students in grades one, two and six in primary school and all middle school students are not allowed to transfer from schools in other districts.
According to the new policy, primary and middle school students in the district are also not allowed to transfer to another school in the district.
