More than 2,000 guests from over 120 countries and regions around the world will attend the 2nd World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province, from December 16 – 18.

High-speed development of Internet in the past 20 years has changed people's daily life in China deeply.

As a medium of communication, Internet is characterized by high-efficiency, convenience and low entry threshold. From subscribing news online, chatting software to surfing the Internet with mobile phones and the popularity of Weibo and Wechat, the traditional audiences have evolved to commentators and 'reporters'. Internet's fast growth keeps changing and redefining the concept of communication, making people both surprised and involved.

Cyber technology also changes people's lifestyles. China's Singles Day festival dwarfs the West's Black Friday as online shopping has become routine for ordinary Chinese. The Internet has made life more efficient as we can do a lot of things online such as paying bills, booking flights, hotels and cabs.

Administration becomes different at Internet era. Government online system has made information public and transparent, enabling the public to make applications, have interactions with officials, exercise supervision through the Internet.

The strategy of "Internet Plus" will give more impetus to the take-off of China's innovative industry (created in China) and manufacturing (made in China) as well as provide more opportunities for entrepreneurs to achieve their goals.

Though the Internet is borderless, each country has its unique way of cyber development and management due to specific national conditions. And China would love to share its own experience as well as take others for reference, just as what the conference's subject says, "An interconnected world shared and governed by all - building a community of common future in cyberspace".
