The organizing committee for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games decided Tuesday to stop using its controversial logo amid scandal of plagiarism.
Kenjiro Sano, the logo designer, has been accused of plagiarism by Belgian designer Olivier Debie. Some other designs by Sano were also found in suspicion of plagiarism.
The Tokyo Olympic organizing committee had scheduled an emergency meeting Tuesday afternoon to address the issue, reported Japan's Kyodo News.
