China's civil aviation authorities on Wednesday began to ban passengers from rushing to get a seat or forcibly opening an emergency hatch on the planes.
According to a notice issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on its official website, 11 behaviors, including smoking, using electronic equipment on the plane, as well as charging security checkpoints, are forbidden.
Violators will be warned, fined or detained by the police, or prosecuted for their criminal liability, given the severity.
The police have investigated 15 cases, such as opening emergency hatches, smoking and using mobile phones on planes, since the end of July, imposing fines of up to 3,000 yuan ($468).
