    MH370 search underway, no related clues found: La Reunion authority

    La Reunion authority Monday said that no clues related to the missing flight MH370 has been found since the launch of a tridimensional search last Friday.

    "No debris, neither appearing from an aircraft nor related to MH370, has been found. The searching will continue this week as different means and surveillance will be deployed," The La Reunion provincial government said Friday in a statement.

    The statement said the searching, for which air, pedestrian and maritime means had been deployed to, meant to detect the possible presence of new floating debris off La Reunion Island or stranded on the island.

    "This searching was coordinated by le prefet of Reunion, while government delegate for the sea state action," read the statement.

    The government said the force from the France military charged of the southern Indian Ocean and the security force have been mobilized.

    According to the statement, a Casa army mil-airfreighter, a Panther helicopter and a La Verdon patrol boat have been deployed so far, with 35 persons involved in the 18.5 hours searching from the sky and sea, from Aug. 7th to 9th.

    Meanwhile, 70 patrols have searched for 40 hours during the same period.

    "The French government concerns over any possible discover of debris," the statement said.

    The French government ramped up the search for MH370 plane wreckage on the east coast of La Reunion Island last Friday, after a plane part found here earlier was confirmed as that of the missing plane. The search will last for a week, said the government.

    The Malaysian flight went missing in March 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. A total of 239 people were on board, most of them Chinese.
