Former CNPC vice general manager prosecuted for taking bribes   

原中石油副總經(jīng)理王永春涉嫌受賄等被提起公訴

據(jù)最高人民檢察院網(wǎng)站消息，原中國(guó)石油天然氣集團(tuán)公司副總經(jīng)理、黨組成員、大慶油田有限責(zé)任公司總經(jīng)理、黨委副書(shū)記、大慶石油管理局局長(zhǎng)王永春涉嫌受賄、巨額財(cái)產(chǎn)來(lái)源不明、國(guó)有公司人員濫用職權(quán)一案，經(jīng)依法指定管轄，由湖北省襄陽(yáng)市人民檢察院偵查終結(jié)，移送襄陽(yáng)市人民檢察院審查起訴。3月23日，湖北省襄陽(yáng)市人民檢察院已向襄陽(yáng)市中級(jí)人民法院提起公訴。[查看全文]

Former vice general manager of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Wang Yongchun has been prosecuted for taking bribes, holding unidentified property and abuse of power, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced Monday.

Xiangyang People's Procuratorate of central China's Hubei Province has completed its investigation into Wang and filed the charges with the Xiangyang Intermediate People's Court on Monday, according to a SPP statement.

Prosecutors believe Wang, also former general manager of the Daqing oilfield, took advantage of his posts to seek profit for others, asked for and accepted a huge amount in bribes.

He owned a property that clearly exceeded his legitimate earnings and could not identify the source of the additional income. He abused his power and caused major losses to state assets, according to the indictment.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced its investigation over Wang in August 2013. Wang was then removed from his post the same month and was expelled from the CPC in June 2014.
