Malaysia is discussing with China and Australia to remember those on board flight MH370, which went missing almost a year ago, a government official said Tuesday.

Malaysia's Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai told local reporters in the northern city of George Town that talks are being held with Beijing and Canberra for similar programs to be held in China and Australia.

"We do not have any decision yet. We need to discuss with China and Australia because we have a tripartite agreement on this matter," he said.

Flight MH370, with 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board, left Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:41 a.m. on March 8, 2014 and disappeared from radar about an hour later while over the South China Sea.

The Boeing 777 aircraft has yet to be found, even after an exhaustive search in the southern Indian Ocean where it is believed to have gone down after veering off course.
