Local official under probe for bribery, power abuse

Fang Xiping, former Party chief of Huainan city in east China's Anhui province is being investigated for allegedly accepting bribes and power abuse, according to a statement released on Monday by the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).

Prosecutors in Anhui's Ma'anshan city have been tasked with investigating them, the SPP said.
