Hong Kong SAR's High Court has issued an interim injunction earlier ordering protesters illegally blocking streets in Admiralty to leave. Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying has been calling on students to go home. When asked about student protesters' demand to "restart political reform", he said the students do not fully understand the political process being carried out.

"Some students say that they're not looking to deny the decision made by NPC Standing Committee on August 31, they are only demanding a restart of political reform. But this claim is false. Our work on political reform has not been stopped. There is no question of RE-starting it," he says.

Protesters in Hong Kong have continued their occupation of streets which has lasted for more than two months. The police have been back on patrol in Mong Kok during the night as some protesters returned, disrupting business and traffic flow.

Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying says action to remove the major camp site at Admiralty will be announced at what he calls "an appropriate time". Speaking to reporters during a visit to Shenzhen on the mainland, Leung said the total number of people involved in the Occupy movement in Admiralty and Central may fall with the remaining protesters likely to become more aggressive.
