Senior S China official removed from office

Zhu Mingguo, a top political advisor in south China's Guangdong Province, has been removed from his post, it was confirmed by the Communist Party of China Central Committee Organization Department on Wednesday.

Zhu was the chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was announced to be put under investigation for suspected "serious discipline and law violations" Friday.
