China, Japan to follow principles of four political documents

China and Japan have affirmed that they will follow the principles and spirit of the four political documents between the two countries and continue to develop the China-Japan strategic relationship of mutual benefit, according to a press release from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday.

The press release was released after Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi held talks with visiting National Security Advisor of Japan Shotaro Yachi on Friday.
