Nine people were buried on Tuesday by a rain-triggered landslide in southwest China's Yunnan province, said local authorities.
The disaster struck the Xiaoxin Village, Dongchuan District of the provincial capital of Kunming City at around 11 am, said a spokesman with the district's publicity office.
Rescue operations are under way.
