Another 11 victims of the MH17 air crash in eastern Ukraine have been identified this week, leaving the last 36 of the total 298 passengers and crew members killed on board unnamed, the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice said Friday.

Among the 11 newly identified, eight people were Dutch nationals.

At the request of the embassies of those countries concerned, the nationalities of the non-Dutch victims were not made known.

In the July 17 crash, all the 298 people aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 were killed when the aircraft was shot down in eastern Ukraine.

On July 23, remains and bodies of the victims were flown to Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands for identification.

On Aug. 5, the Netherlands stopped the recovery and repatriation mission on the crash site in eastern Ukraine due to the deteriorating security situation in the area.
