8 dead, 6 injured in NW China tricycle rollover

Eight people were killed and six others injured after a three-wheeled vehicle overturned on Saturday morning in Huanxian County, in northwest China's Gansu Province.

Around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, the vehicle, used in agriculture, tipped while driving downhill on a country road, according to the Huanxian County government.

Fourteen people were onboard the vehicle when the accident occurred. Two people were confirmed dead at the site and six died in the hospital.

Six others, including three people in serious conditions, were receiving medical treatment in a county hospital.

Investigations into the accident are under way.
