Summer Palace renovation

Deputy Head of the Summer Palace Zou Ying has stated that all the modern installation of the Palace wall will be demolished during the latest renovation project, reported the Beijing Times.

So far the first phase of the Palace wall's renovation has been completed, with the second phase estimated to continue until March, 2015. The wall is about 7.9 kilometers long, and although it has received repairs since 1949, this current renovation project is not only about repairing cracks but also removing cement and other modern materials.
