Tunnel collapse traps 13 in SW China

At least 13 people have been trapped after a tunnel under construction collapsed Sunday night in southwest China's Guizhou Province, local authorities said on Monday.

The tunnel is being built on a highway in Shiqian County. The 13 people are estimated to be 600 meters away from the exit.

Excavators have been employed to rescue the trapped. Safety regulation officers, police and medics have also arrived.
