Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer was named the most financially valuable athlete alongside golfer Tiger Woods as the duo each earned $46 million with their names in 2013, the official ATP website reported by quoting Forbes magazine on Tuesday.

Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James sits in second place with $27 million, followed by 2013 Open Championship winner Phil Mickelson with $25 million.

China's Li Na ranks eighth on $15 million, four places behind rival Maria Sharapova on $23 million.

Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and NBA star Kobe Bryant rank from fifth to seventh with $21 million, $20 million and $19 million. Soccer megastars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi rounded up the top-10 list with $13 million each.
