The Australian Transport Safety Bureau say it will release a new search area for the missing Malaysian airliner MH370 Wednesday.   [Special coverage]

The new crash site will focus on an area hundreds of kilometers south of the first suspected crash site in the Indian Ocean. It's based on refined analysis of existing satellite information from the missing plane. And it will cover an area of 60-thousand square kilometers.

Two survey ships are mapping the seabed. Side-scan sonar equipment, which is able to probe ocean depths up to 7 kilometers, will be deployed in August. The entire operation is expected to be completed in 12 months.
