US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew meets officials in Beijing

US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew is to conclude his Beijing visit on Tuesday. This is his third trip to China since taking up the Treasury position a litlle more than a year ago.

Vice Premier Wang Yang received Lew at the Diaoyutai State Guest House on Tuesday morning. Lew has already met with China's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan on his arrival yesterday, and his one day official visit in Beijing will cover topics such as China's reform agenda, the coming annual US-China Strategic and Economic Dialog and other economic issues.

"Your visit carries great significance for the 6th US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue. I'd like to talk to you about economic issues of mutual concern." Wang said.

"China's growth benefits the US and vice versa.....as China grows its important to be fair and consistent within international systems of trade rules.."Lew said.
