China's eight non-Communist parties are welcome to give advice on the country's reforms, said top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng at a meeting in Beijing on Friday.

Members of these parties are encouraged to contribute their expertise and wisdom to the Communist Party of China in making decisions on important state issues, said Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Yu also instructed Party and government departments to regularly inform non-Communist parties about the latest policies and the problems that the country faces so that they can provide more effective and accurate proposals.

At the meeting, Wan E'xiang, chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, one of the non-Communist parties, suggested that the country's judicial reform should focus on separating professional judges and prosecutors from civil servants, especially below the provincial level.

Other leaders of non-Communist parties raised proposals about reform of higher education, industrial restructuring and development of information technologies.
