China is confirming Vietnam border violence reports

China's Foreign Ministry said it was confirming media reports of a violence incident on the China-Vietnam border area.

The ministry had noticed the reports and was hurrying on to check the authenticity of the reports, it said via its official Sina microblog on Friday night.
