Deputy mayor probed over violations of discipline, law

A deputy mayor in southwest China's Sichuan province is under investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law, provincial authorities said Thursday.

Su Liming, executive deputy mayor of Guangyuan city and a member of the standing committee of the city's Communist Party of China committee, is being probed, according to the provincial discipline inspection commission.
