Zoo Market moves to Hebei

The Zoo Clothing Wholesale Market will be relocated to Yongqing county in Hebei province, located 60 kilometers to the south of Beijing, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

The clothing market, located near the Beijing Zoo in Xizhimen in Xicheng district, has long been a popular shopping hub. After the market is relocated, the site will be rebuilt as a high-end design, fashion and financial zone, according to the government.

Meanwhile, the Dahongmen wholesale clothing market in Fengtai district will also be moved to Yongqing, which is being developed as the future site of the garment industry.
