Search for MH370 resumes after bad weather

The search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has resumed on Friday after being temporarily suspended due to bad weather a day earlier.   [Special coverage]

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority has said 10 aircraft are taking part in the air search in the southern Indian Ocean. These include nine military aircraft from six nations and a civil aircraft. A total of five ships, four from China and one from Australia, have also been dispatched to the search area.

Meanwhile, Australia has defined a new search area after a new credible lead emerged. Australian authorities said the new area is 11-hundred kilometers to the northeast from the current search area.
