It's been one week since Flight MH370 disappeared off the radar, carrying 239 people and if anything, there are more questions now than there are answers. It's been a week of conflicting reports, rumors, and sometimes confused information. In the meantime, search and rescue teams from several countries continue to hunt for signs of debris, in an ever-widening area.  [Special coverage]

Malaysian acting Transport Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, has denied media reports that the plane transmitted engine data for a number of hours after its final radio contact.

The acting minister has also dismissed Chinese satellite images of debris in the South China Sea, saying they're not connected to the missing flight.

And in the latest development, the US says it's planning to expand the search into the Indian Ocean, possibly based the reports of plane engine data. The White House has so far only said that "new information" is behind the expanded scope of the search, and that the US is consulting with Malaysia on what resources could be deployed.
