FINA Diving World Series Beijing stop to kick off Friday

FINA Diving World Series 2014 Beijing stop will kick off on Friday at the National Aquatics Center.

The Diving World Series features six stops, namely Beijing, Dubai, London, Moscow, Windsor, and Monterrey.

The Beijing stop is the first of the series and runs from March 14 to 16. A total of 70 divers from 12 countries and regions will take part in the competition.

Olympic champions Wu Minxia, He Zi, Chen Ruolin, Qiu Bo will lead the Chinese team, while Xie Siyi will miss the competition due to injury.

Some of the world best divers will compete in Beijing, including Britain's Thomas Daley, Russia's Olympic champ Ilya Zakharov and world championships runner-up Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Mexico's Yahel Castillo.
